On Wednesday 8th February 2017, 7P took part in the Love Languages Competition at City of London Freemen’s School in Surrey. Twenty-two schools participated in the event and Newland House entered the ‘Years 7 and 8’ category.
The theme this year was Family and Friends. Pupils chose to do their sketch about a family at an Arsenal Football match. They performed exceptionally well and the audience really enjoyed the humour, originality of the play called ‘Un match amical’ as well as their outstanding quality of performance, not only in French but some Spanish and Mandarin.
The results were announced in the afternoon and after a nail biting wait the boys were rewarded with the winners’ spot. The excellent level of conversational French that took place between the boys was mentioned by the judges.
A wonderful day was enjoyed by everyone and a great achievement by 7P!
