Registration

Please use the online registration or print and return the Registration Form by post. There is £100 non-refundable registration fee which is used for administrative purposes. This should be paid either by bank transfer or if you are applying by post, cheques can be made payable to Newland House School Trust Ltd.

Reception Entry

Registration for entry to Reception can be made at any time (but not before birth). On receipt of the registration you will receive written notification of your child’s admissions position. If the entry date is 18 months or more in advance and provided that there is no waiting list in operation, you will receive a Reserved Place. A deposit will become due approximately 18 months before entry at which point the position will be formally offered a place at the school. On acceptance of the offer and payment of a deposit, it will become a Confirmed Place.

Nursery (age 3 - 4)

Children join the Nursery in the September following their third birthday, which is the year prior to joining Reception.

Nursery places are usually offered on a first come first served basis 18 months before the nursery start date. There is no additional regsistration process for the Nursery. On regsistration for Reception entry your child will automatically be offered a place in the Nursery, if places are still available at that time or 18 months before the Nursery start date.

Please note that a place in Reception is not dependant on accepting a place in the Nursery.

Year 3 Entry

Please note that following the new Pre-Prep Development the school now offers three-form entry in Reception and has phased out the 7+ entry point. Entry to Year 1 upwards is now dependent on occasional vacancies only.

Mid-Year Entry

Registrations for occasional vacancies should be accompanied by the child’s latest school report from their current school. If we have no place available immediately, registrations may join our waiting list.

When a place becomes available, we will arrange an Assessment Day. This will usually involve spending time in class and a one to one assessment in English and Mathematics. There might also be a short interview with the Head. The school will also seek a Confidential Report from the child’s existing school before an offer of a place is made.
