Cooking Experience

Year 6 girls experienced a really practical and exciting cookery morning as part of their leavers’ programme which helps them to develop and encourages them to learn a range of life skills.


During the morning session, which was hosted and led by Mrs Hill, they learned to prepare a healthy breakfast smoothie, bake gingerbread and then cooked a delicious meal of garlic bread, sausage pasta topped off with chocolate brownies and blueberries. The girls had masses of enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoyed what can only be described as a charming culinary experience.  

The girls took their brownies and gingerbread away to enjoy with their families along with their own personalised recipe folder to help encourage them to experiment with cooking at home.
