A range of children from Year 4 upwards travelled to Canada over half term to experience a fabulous winter wonderland experience, not only on the beautiful slopes of Mont Tremblant, but to also visit Toronto and the magnificent Niagara Falls.
The children’s skiing benefitted from tuition in small groups with excellent instructors and the weather was milder than expected, and led to some beautiful blue skies and excellent skiing conditions.
During their stay the children topped up their energy levels and devoured extravagant breakfasts including the must have maple syrup pancakes and gigantic suppers. The evenings were also filled with other snow based activities, including snow-tubing which the children loved and a visit to Aquasource.
In Toronto, pupils found time to spend their pocket money with a little shopping and were overawed by the breath-taking and vertigo inducing views of the Toronto skyline and Lake Ontario from the top of the CN Tower. Some of the children even braved a walk on the glass platform at more than 1000 feet above street level!
At Niagara, the travellers viewed the falls from a different angle with a tour behind the Canadian Falls followed by a spectacular scenic walk to the American Falls. Overall the children had an extremely successful holiday and created some magical memories of their time in Canada.
