Adventures in Space

Pupils in Years 4 and 7 were totally captivated during their journey through space in a special mobile Science Dome which was inflated the Prep Hall in school yesterday.

The dome is a fully digital 360 degree mobile planetarium designed to explore science, geology and geography in an interactive way and gave the children a unique, engaging and interactive learning experience.

Year 4 witnessed the movement and characteristics of the eight planets and learned about our nearby stars and moons on their celestial journey through our solar system whilst Year 7 learned about space exploration and experienced space from aboard the space shuttle with some stunning footage looking back at the earth.

The children found it incredibly exciting and the visit gave them a new insight in to the work they will be covering in their forthcoming Science lessons.
